Please Stop Worrying About The Future. Have You Forgotten That Your Heavenly Father Loves You and That He is Well Able to Provide For You, O Ye of Little Faith? ( PART ONE )

Hi Everyone,

(I have decided to post this as Part One because there is SO much that needs to be said about this subject. I don't think I'll be able to fit it all into one post.)

Today I wanted to talk to you about faith in God and relying on Him when everything else around you seems to be falling apart. What I will say is probably going to sound very different from most of the faith messages out there that you have already heard. I'm sure there are still honest, Biblical, faith messages being preached, but they are definitely in the minority being overshadowed by the sensational faith preaching that's taking center stage in the christian world these days.

I have found that interest in the true faith is sorely lacking in today's church. Sure, there are plenty of sermons, books and messages about faith, but the kind of faith in those books and sermons, comes from a worldly, positive thinking doctrine and has nothing at all to do with trusting in God but rather is more of an earthy, devilish wisdom, that caters to human greed and covetousness.

We need to start encouraging one another in the common faith again. I think that we have forgotten what true faith feels like. It is comforting and reassuring and makes us feel very secure and loved and close to God. This is the kind of faith that Jesus preached and taught. When we have the true faith we sense God's love surrounding us. Faith in God must be talked about, preached, believed and cultivated in each and every heart of those who call themselves "Believers."

So today I wanted to talk to you about preparing our hearts for the dark times that are just ahead of us. We can all sense that things in our world are about to change. We just don't know when, or how, but we do know that when it actually happens, the change that's coming won't be good. We can all sense it. Change is in the air.

We know from reading scripture that by believing prayer we can delay the "change" for another time, even for another generation, if we would just take up the authority that Jesus gave to His Church and fight back the forces of darkness, by believing in and using the name of Jesus. There is so much power in that name, and its ours! Jesus gave it to us. It belongs to the Church! But many have lost hope and they won't even try anymore. They are sure that it is way too late to do any of that. Too late for believing prayer and repentance? Can I just tell you that it is never too late to repent! But I won't get into all that again since I covered that topic in my last blog post and probably the one before that one, too.
But I will say this, that when God's people collectively repent, great changes take place in their country. It all starts with repentance. If only we would realise that repentance includes people like me and you. If there is one truth that is all throughout scripture it is the fact that repentance will move the hand of God quicker than anything else known to man.Don't believe the lie that says that once you're saved, you never have to repent again. As I talked about in my last post, repentance is an on going process for all of us, until the day we leave this Earth.

But what is bothering my heart the most, however, is not the change that's coming, but the lack of faith that I see and hear in God's people. It is becoming more and more obvious everyday, how fearful everybody is. Somehow we are beginning to sound like those who have no hope. Brothers and sisters, these things ought not to be. We know that this fear is not coming from God, "for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and of a sound mind."

Everybody, we shouldn't be discouraging one another with the things we say but like Caleb and Joshua we should use our words to encourage eachother and so much the more as we see the day approaching. We need to start right now, to make it a point to begin encouraging each other and try to see what we can do to build up each other's faith in God. We will all need to be strong in our faith to be able to endure future trials. I believe that we will be forced to rely on our faith heavily in the days that lie ahead of us, as I perceive that what we believe will be sorely tested.

In the Church those who have no understanding, seem to be just as afraid of what is coming, as the world is. And we reveal our lack of understanding when we try to remedy the situation by doing the same things the world is doing. There is no difference in our solution and their solution. They are building up and stock piling food and we are stock piling food.

According to their system, the richer you are with the things of this world, the better you will be protected in the future. Faith in God, of course, doesn't factor into their system. He isn't necessary to their plans for future protection. According to them, the more money you have right now, the better you will be able to provide for yourself when times get bad and food becomes scarce. And if you are poor or struggling right now and unable to store up? Well you're simply out of luck, because that is their only plan. That's all they've got! There is only plan A with no back up plan B. So if you are not able to store up food and water right now, when the time comes, you'll just have to starve! That's it folks! And then for those who have bought into their plan, after you have your house fully stockpiled with food, they then advise you to go and buy a gun to protect your piles from hungry people that might be desperate for what you have stored up!

People, why are we imitating the wisdom of this world? How can we possibly believe that this plan would be God's answer for His people?  How can we believe that He would leave His children alone in the dark, to provide for themselves without His direct intervention? On various sites we are encouraged to store up food and water and medicine and those who just can't afford it, or those who are out of work or maybe on a fixed income are becoming fearful as reflected in the comments. Where is faith and trust in God being preached to help those people? How is their faith being fed and built up? Where are scriptures posted for us to read and believe and place our hope and trust in God, and to build faith and bring comfort to us?

We have been given great and precious promises all throughout His word! In the Old Testament and the New Testament. His book is filled with faith promises. Promises made to us to be taken seriously! We can take God at His word. He is full of integrity and He will keep His word to us. We receive His promises by faith.  His promises are just as relevant for us today as they were in ancient times when they were first written. God never changes, His word is sure and can be trusted. We can trust God with our lives. If He said that He will do something then He will! This life doesn't last forever, glorify God now by your faith! We only have this one chance, this one life to bring Him true glory by showing others that we believe in Him. God is alive and He hears us! Believe His word, not the circumstances around you. He is well able and willing to care for all of His children, with no exceptions.

(Psalm 33:18)
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine

(Psalm 37:18)
18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

We Christians have bought into this worldly mindset and have brought it into the Church. And the fear of the future, has spread like wild fire amongst God's people. What is fear anyway, but a lack of faith. Faith in God and His goodness, in His mercy and capabilities.

We have taken these things out of God's hands and contrary to scripture, have put the job of providing for ourselves back into our own hands. According to the wisdom of this world. According to the wisdom that says that a man is his own God and as long as he has money he can take care of himself.
So, we too are trusting in ourselves and fearfully storing up food, water, medical supplies etc and providing for ourselves just like the world and other religious groups that don't know or understand the true God and His ways. Our God is a God of faith. His people are peculiar in that they live differently than the world, for "the just man shall live by his faith."

I am reminded of the Mormon religion, that doesn't know the God of the Bible. They have never known the true God of Salvation. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their people have been storing and canning enough food to feed and to comfortably provide for them for a couple years.

Even in the world, the people whose business is to sell dehydrated food meals are running out of their supplies because the demand around the world is so high. Our own government is buying it up! The world is storing up food and so are the Christians! Everybody is on the same page. The children of the evil one and the children of light are all fearfully storing up food!

There is something wrong with this picture. Are we now doing the same things as the world is doing? As those who don't know or understand God? When we start imitating the world and copying the world for "serious to us" matters, then we know that we have lost our way for sure. Really it reveals to all of us, what is hidden in our hearts or should I say, what is lacking in there.

When we were born again we were each given a measure of faith. Where is faith? Stir up the gift that's inside of you! God's gift, freely given, is just lying there unused! Spiritual things must be exercised and used. The more they are used the stronger they become. Those that are not used will be taken away, but those who use whats been given to them will be given even more. That's just the way it is with spiritual things. Strive to keep adding more and at the same time, hold on to what you already have. We have to use the gifts that God has given to us.

Have we all forgotten how great our God is? Have we forgotten His mighty power and how much He loves us and will care for us? When Jesus walked the earth in the days of His humanity, didn't He demonstrate the Father's love for us? Didn't He prove to the doubtful and unbelieving His capable power to meet our needs? Why Jesus even paid Peter's taxes!

(Mathew 17:24)
25 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Why are we so fearful of not having enough food in the future? Don't we remember the loaves and the fishes and the abundance of fragments that were left over? Think about it. Jesus loved and pitied those people who were following Him and didn't want them to faint on the way home. Do we think He loves us any less than those people? Has His love and mercy dried up? Did He use up all of His love and mercy on others and there is nothing left for us?
No! Of course not! He is a God who is ALIVE and He LOVES, and He is still MIGHTY IN POWER, that will never change! We're not orphans, we are loved.

Believe me, our God is ALIVE! I can testify of His miracles and provision in my own life. Read carefully these following scriptures and see the tender mercies of our God. Don't pass over them, but slowly and carefully and prayerfully read them and see how much God loves all of us. We have nothing to fear if we believe in God and trust in God's Son.

(Mathew 15:32)
32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.

 (Mark 6:34)
34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments and of the fishes.
44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Notice Everybody, that Jesus performed TWO separate miracles of providing food for the people that were following Him. I have a feeling there were many other miracles of this type that were not recorded, but these were recorded for us that we would BELIEVE in the power and love of the Son of God towards those who love Him AND so that we will believe that He will supernaturally feed us if food is scarce in the future.

(Mathew 16:5)
5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

So where is our faith resting in these last days. In the Son of God or in the wisdom of men? Remember that we glorify God when we believe in His word and put our trust in Him. God is well able to protect His own and He is also willing.

(2 Chron 16:9)
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

(In Part 2: I'll show you that Israel didn't store up their own food during the time of the great famine in Egypt and the surrounding areas, but that God provided for them anyway.)

God Bless Everybody,
Gerie

American Church, God is Calling Us to Repentance!

Hi Everyone,
I have such a heaviness in my heart for the church in this country. Our country really needs to wake up to the reality of our spiritual condition. We're not looking good, yet we think that we're just doing fine. How does one help those who think that they are doing fine and have no need of repentance?
When we try to help, people just laugh and say, "repentance is for others, we have no need. We're not sinners like everybody else, we go to church!"
Oh really? The American church is permeated with sin and doesn't have a clue. Sometimes I have to wonder if she really even cares.

(Rev 3:17)
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

The Lord has laid on my heart a call out for the church in America to repent. Its a sobering message that not everyone will receive, but only those to whom it is given. Only those faithful ones whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life will take the exhortation to heart.

Those who fear God, who prove their love for Him daily, expressed by their obedience to His word, are the ones who will heed this message and go deeper into the things of God. "The secret of the Lord, is with them that fear Him."

These chosen ones are the meek of the earth, who have tender hearts and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church in America. It will be a confirmation of the message that has already been sown in their heart.

Though these gentle lovers of God are meek, yet they are spiritually strong and wise. They are not as easily deceived as the majority of others who also call themselves Christians. There is a big difference between the mainstream Churchianity seen on TV and heard on radio and the true church of God that's hidden, just like their Father.  He Himself is a God who hides Himself, and the true church will also remain hidden, later to be revealed at the appointed time.

Mainstream lukewarm churches won't receive this message as they are busy reflecting one another, preaching another Jesus, and they are also preaching another Gospel. It is not the true Gospel they are preaching nor are they representing the true Jesus Christ. They  keep parroting each other's tired sermons with a fleshly enthusiasm that is not from the Spirit but from their own hearts. On the other hand, those who are being led by the Spirit of God, preach a message that's alive! Their message is an old message, yet new and exciting and relevant for the times we are living in. For those who can hear and are listening, the Holy Spirit today is revealing the hidden wisdom; mysteries that have been hidden from the foundation of the world.

We are all presently living in the deceitful age of the Laodicean church. It is a time like none other in history. Many things are not what they seem to be, but upon closer inspection, if we rely on the Holy Spirit for discernment, we can learn the truth. We all know that looks can be deceiving. For instance we know that we can look at someone and they can appear healthy on the outside, while inside they are literally being eaten up by cancer, as well as other people who can present themselves as being very happy and seem to be enjoying a wonderful life, but inside they are hiding an unhappy, torturous existence. In the same way our churches also seem to be happy and thriving on the outside but inside of many "happy on the outside" churches its members are living double lives. While in church they smile and worship but when they go home, their families know the truth, that they are living sad, drug ridden and porn driven, defeated lives.

Today in America, we in the church would like for everybody to believe that we are rich and have need of nothing.
We love to convince others that we have it all together and that we are as good as the world, or that we are even better and richer and more together than they are. We flaunt our riches before them to prove our success. We compete with the world for attention and bask in the praises we receive from one another. We have become lazy and tired because we haven't been fed with the true food, the manna from Heaven, the true word of God, but have been fed with the imitation junk food. This food has become addictive and we crave it more and more. We have lost our taste for the true, nourishing food that would impart to us strength and life and vitality. If we would have eaten this food we would "walk and not be weary we would run and not faint." Today we are being fed any easy Gospel of believism. All we want to do in church anymore is to believe and sing, without doing any work at all for the Kingdom of God. The saints of old worked hard for the Lord ministering to Him sometimes for hours on their knees. There is where the battle is fought and won. Somehow we don't think that prayer is very important or relevant anymore. We have been deceived in what we believe, is and isn't important for today. We know that we belong to a spiritual Kingdom that runs and operates by faith. But instead we have set up our own kingdoms on earth, contained in large sometimes luxurious buildings that were built upon the unrighteous mammon. We have gone on vacations and have hired puppets to run things. Men and women that don't have a clue about the spiritual battle that we are in and how to equip the church for that battle. Today we don't even want to acknowledge that there even is a battle, let alone how to do our part and fight in it. We don't want to admit that God asks anything of us, so consequently we have gone out into the world and have purchased for ourselves spineless, agreeable teachers with perpetual smiles on their faces, who will entertain us and perform magical tricks for us. They look like the world act like the world and think like the world and our churches are defiled because of them. But we're not worried about that right now, we can think about that later. We have trained these ministers to tell us what we want to hear or else we won't support them financially. We let them perform their magical tricks for us, preached with magical persuasive words, while we throw them the occasional carrot of 'well done' as we sit idly by and do nothing. They are well paid for their performance and we wouldn't have it any other way. The Atheists are having a field day when they report back to their friends what they have seen and heard at our "church services" of fun entertainment, and what can we say, they are right. We have fooled ourselves with false teachings, thinking that all we have to do is wait for the rapture and we're good. That we don't have to fight, but just lazily sit back and wait to be raptured out of all of this mess. How wrong we all are. How wrong the church is operating in America. We think we can help others and we can't even help ourselves. We have forgotten the warning of Jesus to His disciples that we are only branches and that if we don't stay in Him the true vine, that we couldn't do anything ourselves, that has any real value. And so it is today. We are living defeated lives with no power. We have strayed so far from scripture it's scary! We have deceived people into thinking they are saved when they are not! Half of the people attending our Churches have been deceived by a false gospel. Who is responsible for this? Who will make it right? Those people who have been deceived will ultimately go to Hell, if no one takes the time to straighten them out and cares enough for them, to tell them the truth
Today's whole message can be summed up in one word: repent! Repent America, now before its too late.
And prepare ye, for the Lord shall judge His people.

( Rev 3:14)
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Before I get into what the Lord is showing me, I wanted you to know something, that this whole message is for me first. I'm not preaching at you, but to myself first. I have taken His message to heart and I am repenting myself as the Lord reveals more things to me and gives me more understanding. If you would have asked me a few months ago if I needed to repent, I would have searched my heart, and said no, there is nothing in there that I can see that needs to be repented of. However that has all changed. As I am walking with the Lord on this journey, my eyes have been opened to many things and I have been given an understanding that I didn't have before, and with it comes more responsibility. We have to hold fast the things we have already learned lest we let them slip and continually be adding new things as His Spirit reveals them and stretches us and causes us to grow. Sort of like a juggler. He keeps throwing the balls round and round and then another one is added and then another. His skill lies in maintaining the balls in the air without dropping any one of them while continually adding more. Our spiritual life is like that. We must maintain and walk in the light we already have and then when new revelation comes, walk in that new light while we keep doing all of those spiritual disciplines at the level we already have achieved.

This is the scripture started it all for me.

(2 Chr 7:14) "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

I know that we are all familiar with this verse, and have it memorized.  This is a powerful scripture with a promise that if believed and acted upon, will bring about great change in any country that believers live in. I have heard arguments that this scripture is dispensational and isn't relevant for us today and I have heard others say that its too late for this scripture to work anymore, that things have gone past the point of no return. They are both wrong. On both accounts they are wrong. And they are scripturally out of line. By their unbelief they are in effect putting their own limitations on scripture. This is not what Jesus encouraged us to do and is in oppostition to an active faith, not textbook faith. This is dangerous thinking and their unbelief can indeed limit the power of God. Jesus Himself experienced the same effects of unbelief. As kryptonite is dangerous and deadly to the childhood hero Superman, so is their unbelief dangerous to receiving answers to prayer and experiencing the power of the Holy Ghost.

(Mark 6:5)
5And He(Jesus)could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And He marvelled because of their unbelief
.

Everybody else was experiencing mighty works of God with healings and miracles, but these folks couldn't receive the blessings because of their own unbelief. Unbelief is deadly to the Gospel of faith yet Christians have no problem spewing it everywhere and will even come to the aide of fellow doubters by justifying eachother, while they go around preaching why God can't do this or that. Who says so? Why they do, of course! And hand joins with hand until their unbelief turns into a force to be reckoned with. We must earnestly contend for the faith, everybody. Contend with unbelief wherever you find it. Unbelief is a serious thing but God still may grant them repentance, and later they  just might thank you for telling them the truth.

So I saw from this scripture (2 Chron 7:14) that God is for us and will heal our land, if we will turn from our sin. But how can we turn from sin if we deny that we have any? Repent? Repent from what?

If you would have asked me a few months ago to repent, I would have looked in my heart and found nothing in there to repent of. But God has shown me how wrong I was. I wasn't obeying many scriptures that I just sort of ignored. Not wilfully of course, but ignorantly. For instance this scripture:

(1 Timothy 2:1)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

I wasn't obeying this scripture. I had hardly prayed for our President since he took office. I didn't pray for him because I don't like him, and still don't. But as in all things pertaining to God, it doesn't matter how I feel, but what has God commanded me to do? He said pray, and I wasn't. Case closed, I had to repent. Now I pray for Obama, and really it's not so bad.The Holy Spirit helps me and I know that I'm pleasing God when I do and that certain things will be different, because I prayed. Prayer really does change things, or else why are we commanded to pray? God knows things that we don't. We just have to trust Him and obey Him. I won't all of a sudden begin to like President Obama, but through my obedience, He can cause Obama to do things that he never would have done otherwise. I know that's true because of this scripture:

(Prov.21:1)"The King's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will".

Obama's heart is in God's hands and we His children can request that God would turn it towards Israel, so that we in this country, might live in peace. Now the just man shall live by his faith. There is a reason these scriptures are in there and we just have to believe that God knows best and obey Him using our faith. He knows Obama's heart is against Israel, yet He is greater than Obama and can cause him to do things, that are contrary to his beliefs if we ask Him to, nothing wavering, "for let not that man think he shall receive anything from the Lord". We have greater weapons at our disposal than they do, we just haven't been using them. Let's dust off our swords, take up the word of God, fall on our knees and get back in the battle!

Here is another scripture that we all want to ignore. We can ignore it, but yet we are still accountable before God

(1 Cor 5:11)
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."

There is such a mixture in our churches of those who call themselves Christians that we have all together become ineffective. We embrace brothers and sisters that continue on in these sins instead of separating from them for their own good and ours. When the Corinthian Church ignored these issues Paul called them out. They were wrong.

(1 Cor 5:1)
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

Mourned here means a lamenting, a strong crying and grieving as for the dead. We are supposed to be so upset with those who call themselves christians who continue in open sin, who influence others by their lifestyle, who enter our sanctuaries as if they are doing nothing wrong, to be moved to action. We are serving a holy God. We are supposed to be keeping ourselves and our members (for we are members one of another) spotless and pure.

(1 Cor 5:9)
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person

How many of us are violating this scripture because we are too nice and don't wish to offend anyone? We need to repent! Yes, that means us. Those of us who think that we are not sinning and have no need of repentance. When I hold my life against these scriptures I can see that I am violating clear commands that were handed down to us from the Apostles of Christ. We are commanded to observe and do those things which we have been taught.

America, do those things you did in the beginning when you first believed. That is the true repentance that will make a difference. Come back to your first love. To the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Come back to the One who loves you, and get on your knees with fear and a holy reverance.

(Rev 2: 4) Jesus said,
4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

If we would really take a good look at scripture, we would see why many things are the way they are, and would start to do something about it - today.
Let's repent everybody, and look for scriptures to obey. Let's open our eyes to see where we have been disobeying perfectly clear scriptures and teach others to do the same.
Let's realise that we the church are responsible for the sorry state that America is in today. We have let things slide. We weren't at our posts watching, the way Jesus taught us to. We have let Heaven down and our country down, with our laziness and unbelief. But it's not to late! Begin praying in earnest for our country. Pray against the powers of evil that think they have America's future all tied up.

It's not too late for America! Pray that the church will repent and then believe they will. Believe that God will do everything possible to bring it about.  All things are possible for those who can believe. We have Jesus' promise!

(Mark 9:23)
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Let's Call Fire Down From Heaven, and Blast all of the Sinners Into Oblivion! Then We Can Go Home and Be With the Lord! If That's Your Attitude, This Post is For you!

Hi Everyone,

Have you had enough of the politicians and the crazy way they are running things? Are you really getting tired of this world and all of the mess that's going on around here? Are you getting SO tired of it that you want God to send fire down from Heaven and consume all of the sinners so that you can get raptured right out of here? If that's the way you have been thinking lately, take a deep breath and pause for a moment to consider just what sort of spirit may be inspiring you. Did you have that same earnestness to leave here when things were going well and life was good? Back then did you yearn to go be with the Lord?  Or is it only now because things are beginning to get a little uncomfortable that you want to get out of here? Have you become so caught up with your own problems, that you have forgotten that there are many others that must be saved too? Many of our family members and loved ones are not saved yet and need more time. And there are also many others who we don't know, that must be saved who may seem so wicked to us right now, but once the Holy Spirit gets a hold of them they'll be completely transformed. (think, the Apostle Paul

Right now, each one of us has work to do for the Kingdom of God. There will be plenty of time later, when we finally get to Heaven to be able to rest, but right now in this lifetime, we are meant to work! Once we have been saved, it is our duty to go and reach as many other people as we can and bring them to the Lord. Cast your net out and bring them in.

Right now, today, is the time for us to be praying and working with God's Heavenly Angels to hold back the forces of darkness so that our loved ones and others, have the time they need to be saved, too. We need to learn that this is war! Spiritual warfare to be exact and that it's not always all about us and our own comfort but that God loves everyone and wants everybody to be saved and to inherit His Kingdom. And He has graciously allowed us to play a small part in making that happen. And even promises to reward us for our effort! How great is that? How great and generous is our God?

Sometimes, we can get so caught up with our own problems that we lose sight of what God's will is and can even work against Him without realising it. By not doing anything at all to help Him and by refusing to fight by His side in the battle, is to greatly hinder the work. We are all needed. No one gets to sit this battle out. And if we are not carefully watching, we can even be used by His enemies to advance their cause. Especially when we go around spewing doubt and unbelief. Anyone who indulges themselves in that, has forgotten a very important fact; God's Kingdom operates entirely by Faith!

And we all know that doubt and unbelief are the mortal enemies of faith. One will always cancel out the other.

It is comforting to know that God is never hasty with His power, but is long suffering, not wanting anyone to perish in their sins. Jesus' disciples didn't understand these things at first and they wanted to wipe out those men who didn't immediately accept Jesus. I'm sure they thought that the Lord would be pleased with their reaction, but they found out differently. Jesus didn't come to destroy men, but to save them. Jesus rebuked them and I think He would also rebuke many today who are being influenced by that same spirit who want to destroy men first. Men who seem to be their enemies and enemies of the gospel they have no pity for, no mercy for. They would just as much rather that the Lord would return today, so that they might be relieved of any discomfort they may be experiencing, even knowing that it would instantly condemn them to Hell. They are not concerned for them, but are only looking out for themselves. They are not looking to the Father, to understand His will and His heart for people, but only what seems right to them, at the time. In the last days the love of many will wax cold, Jesus said.

(Luke 9:52)
52 And ( Jesus)sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.

I find this escapist mentality in many Christians today, who are tired of reaching out to others with the gospel, who have forgotten that at one time, they were also sinners heading for Hell until the grace of God came to them and healed them, and gave them a new, clean heart.

(Titus 3:3)
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Today I wanted to talk about an honest, heartfelt comment that was made on another blog. This person, like us, is discouraged about what he sees happening to our country. I agree with him that our country is a mess. Where I disagree with him however, is when he says that our country is too far gone, don't bother praying because even God can't help us anymore. What? I think saying things like that crosses a line in that we are agreeing with our enemies against ourselves. For anyone that lives by faith, and as Christians, we all should be living by faith, this is a very dangerous line to cross. The following is an excerpt of what he said, and my own response is afterwards.

His Comment:

"This country, this world is in it very deep and I honestly believe no politician can do anything to fix it. I honestly believe its too late for even prayer to fix it. Please, don't ANYONE try to quote 2CH7:14(I think thats correct) about "If my people cry out to me" because I honestly believe its too late for that. Just like not being able to find 10 rightous men in Sodom, this world would never be in enough agreement to cry out to the Lord like that. If that sounds defeatist, so be it. I'm being honest. There ain't much time left and there ain't enough of us to stop the train from coming down the track. But that's ok...if you remember the engineer of the train IS Jesus."

Here is my response. It may seem a little sharp, but people who are beginning to lose hope, I believe need strong, direct truth. Jesus always encouraged faith and God's word strongly discourages us away from any double mindedness and unbelief.

My comment:
"We live by God's word, and not what we can see with our eyes. Nothing is ever too far gone. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? You said don't quote the scripture, 2 Chr 7:14 "if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Why shouldn't we quote this wonderful scripture? Should we take it out of the Bible because you think our country is too far gone? Because you choose not to believe scripture, does that make it so? God's word overrides everything, even your own unbelief.  God said that if His people would pray He would heal our land. If its not being healed, then its because His people aren't praying in faith, because, like you, they don't believe He can do anything. Jesus said, when He comes back, will He find faith on the Earth? We the church are the problem. We weren't watching, and we have let sin enter in from the pulpit down. Anything goes now. Any sinner can go to church now and not feel the least bit uncomfortable. And on top of everything those who are left can't seem to believe God for anything, anymore. When we pray and ask God to heal our country the evil spirits are hindering because of the great sin in our churches, so it may take time, but that doesn't mean that we just give up! We have to use our faith and believe and pray that God will be exalted in our country once again. It all starts there and everything else will follow"

Everybody, we are too quick to give up! All we can see are the giants and fear fills our hearts. God is not pleased with that sort of response, no matter how big those giants seem to us, He is greater!
The Lord desires faith. Faith and trust in Him! Not fear of what's going on around us. Not fear of what the Illuminati is doing. They have been working on their plan for years now and they are still not where they want to be. Do you think that the prayers of God's children have anything to do with that? Do you believe that prayer to God will hinder these evil spirits that are operating through these evil men? Of course they will! That's why Jesus taught us to pray!
Principalities and powers have been inspiring their work for years. There is an advance followed by a retreat. Two steps forward one step back. It all depends on God's people and if we are willing to get in the battle ourselves, instead of letting a handful of people do all of the work. Where is your sword? Pick it up and get in the battle! We are all needed by the Lord in this fight for the souls of men.

God is certainly not limited and can do anything He wants to! He works according to His own timetable not ours. He responds to His word and to prayers that are prayed in faith and not in doubt. Why pray for our country if you don't believe that God can or will do the thing you're asking? Why waste His time and your own time? Why was that scripture (2 Chron 7:14) even put in there in the first place if it wasn't to be believed and acted upon? The promise is there for any country that needs healing. We don't have to worry about the whole world, let the people pray for their own country first. We only have to be concerned with our own land and Israel. Does our country need healing? Then we qualify! Are we called by His name? Then we are the ones who are instructed to pray and confess our sins and the sins of our nation the way  Daniel did. Does the scripture make exceptions for countries that we think are too far gone? Was there an escape clause built in specifically for those who we ourselves deem too far gone and beyond His reach? If not, then we can take God at His word. He will hear us if we pray in faith and believe.

But what are we most concerned about anyway? Do we want our country fixed so that God would be honored and exalted and so that we can continue His work? Or do we just want it healed so we can go back and live a life of entertainment and ease, giving no thought to Him or the things that concern Him?
God is well able to bless us and to protect us from our enemies, but if the enemy has come in like a flood, it's because of sin and we have to repent. Sin is what gave him the foothold in the first place, but God said if we would repent, that He would forgive us our sins and heal our land.

When Jesus was under extreme pressure in the garden, He still prayed that if it was possible, that the Father would remove this cup from Him. He knew what the scriptures said, yet He still prayed. He didn't give up! He didn't stop trying and pleading with God, thinking that it would do no good. He had tremendous faith!

(Mathew 26:36)
36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it,thy will be done.
43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

(Luke 22:41)
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening Him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Jesus always prayed about everything. He knew what was written in the scriptures about Himself and that He was sent to die for our sins, yet He still asked that the Father would take that cup from Him. He still tried and He prayed to the One who could save Him from death. He earnestly prayed to the Father. Do we pray that earnestly for our country? Do we think we can persuade God to delay judgement?

(Hebrews 5:7)
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared.

Where is it written in scripture that "thus saith the Lord, America is the most wicked country that ever existed and must be destroyed right now?" I haven't read that anywhere, have you? If the Lord Jesus felt He could pray to the Father and hope for something that was already written in scripture that it should be a certain way, then even more so, shouldn't we take this promise in 2 Chron, that is specifically written in scripture where God has promised to heal our land if we ourselves would repent and pray?

According to Scripture, the church is promised that if we would repent from our wicked ways that God would heal our land. The whole country doesn't have to repent, just those who are called by His name. Namely, the Christians. The scripture is sure and is locked together with God's integrity and only those who meet the requirements mixed with faith have the key to unlock and receive the promise.

People, continue praying for America, don't give up, don't lose heart. And pray in faith, nothing wavering (6)For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:6-8)

(Hebrews 4:2)
...but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

We have to mix our faith with God's word to activate it. The word of God in the child of God's mouth is a very powerful force! It is a sharp two edged sword that will defeat the enemy and cause the evil forces to retreat! Do you believe that? Don't let the enemy get you discouraged. If you think that everything is already a done deal, how will that effect your prayers? You will be greatly weakened if you believe that God Himself wants to destroy your country and you probably won't even bother to pray for it. But will probably be reduced to only praying the me and my family type prayers.

Does that sort of praying, please God? Pray and ask God for more time to do His work and for peace so that we would be unhindered in carrying out His work. Don't let the devil defeat you in your mind and convince you that its - game over. It's NOT too late!

What if Queen Esther thought that things were too far gone because the decree had gone out with the King's signature no less, that all of the Jews in the land were to be killed. It seemed like it was a done deal right? Those who had the authority over them,( the King in this case), had made a decree that would surely be carried out unless God intervened on their behalf. So what did they do? They fasted and prayed of course! God's people are supposed to do that! It wouldn't have mattered if their friends and neighbors felt sorry for them, and sincerely wanted to help them, they were powerless to do anything at all to help them. Just like we all feel powerless in America and at the mercy of politicians. But Esther and her uncle Mordecai didn't give up and just accept their fate even though things were completely set in motion to accomplish their complete destruction. No, they prayed to the only One that could help them, and so should we!

God is still God! He still answers prayers! Even BIG prayers! It's never too late!

(Luke 18:1)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on

We are always encouraged to pray and to never give up thinking that things must be this way and that our prayers to God can't change anything.

God certainly can help us, if we pray to Him with all of our heart. What have you got to lose? Run to your prayer closet and beg God to heal our land, beginning with the Church.

There are many reasons why our country is in the condition that it's in right now. One of the main reasons is that the church has left off prayer. They don't have many prayer meetings anymore, and if they do, the prayer is not mixed with faith. They don't really expect God to act. Today, we are more interested in positive thinking and psychology then we are in learning and being trained in spiritual warfare and fighting this battle side by side with Angels.

Have we been praying for our leaders the way that we should? (preaching to myself here) That may just be a reason that the enemy has gotten a foot hold and we all need to repent. It doesn't say to pray for the leaders you like. He doesn't excuse us from not praying for them because every time we hear his voice on TV we have to turn it off (!) No. We are admonished to pray for our leaders so that we may lead a peaceable life. The scripture is in there for a reason, and like it or not, we have to be sure to obey it.

(1 Tim 2:1)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the
truth.

And we can't offer up the excuse that we don't like them and that they're dishonest crooks that take advantage of us because Mathew 5 won't let us get away with that kind of thinking, either.

(Mathew 5:43)
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect
.

Everybody, hasn't it always been God's way for us to pray and then to look to Him to help us? He wants us to look to Him. Not to politicians! He will put the right man in office only in response to repentance in our own lives and prayer.
God gets angry with us when we look to men for help and not to Him. He was angry with King Asa for that very reason.

( 2 Chr 16:7)
And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

What about the children of Israel when they were afraid to go in and claim the land for the Lord. They became terrified of the giants. They had forgotten about all of the miracles that the Lord had performed on their behalf since the time He freed them all from Egyptian slavery. Where was their faith in God? All they saw was the enemy.

(Numbers 14:1)
1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones.

Even today, some people want to spiritually stone us if we show any signs of faith. Spirits rise up in people and want to squash faith and tell us why we shouldn't believe God's word.

Everybody, why can't we take God at His word anymore? Scripture can't be any plainer then it already is. If you are called a Christian you have a God given right and mandate from the Lord to pray for the country you are living in and not to faint or grow weary when your prayer isn't answered as quick as you want it to be. Yes it looks bad right now but that doesn't mean God wants it that way. That just means we should pray even harder and with more determination and faith. Where is endurance? Where is faith and trust in God?
And so when we all look at each other and expect somebody else to do the job, or give the excuse that we believe its too late, then the results are that no one does anything and our country is destroyed because we had no faith in the weapons that God has given to each one of us to drive the forces of evil back with faith and prayer. (Ezekiel 22) is the result of our double mindedness and unbelief.

(Ezek 22:30)
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Strive in prayer for your country, no matter what country you live in. God doesn't want us to side with the devil and condemn ourselves to judgement, but He would rather that we would pray for His mercy. Don't join with others in their chorus of unbelief that things have just gone too far and that our prayers will have no effect. Stand up and sing a solo if you have to. Even if you don't know how to sing very well, encourage others to join you as you cry out to God for His help. You're not alone! Others are striving with God too, for their country. Things are not impossible, even though they may seem that way in the natural. Trust and pray to God for help. When you do, it will be music in His ears, a well pleasing expression of hope and belief in the Mighty God who is well able to do much more than we can even ask for or think. Your faith in Him, will be a sweet smelling savor, an offering well pleasing to God.

God Bless Everybody,

There is a Faith That Leads to Eternal Life And a Faith That Leads to Eternal Death. Be Sure That You Picked the Right One and That You're Not Being Deceived By Smooth Talkers

Hi Everyone,

(Luke 18:8) Jesus said,
"When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"

I can't seem to get the subject of faith off my mind lately, especially when I think about the fact that there are so many people who are still being deceived by the popular faith message being preached today. A "tickle your ears" sort of message that cannot save you from eternal death, although it might make you rich in this lifetime if you can think positively long enough. However that sort of faith has nothing to do with eternity and it has nothing to do with reaping the rewards of a life lived faithfully serving and obeying Jesus Christ, according to the instructions given to us in the Bible. Salvation is not only believing in Jesus, but our faith in Him is worked out in our obedience to His words, and by not neglecting His commands.

The true, basic, genuine faith that has its roots firmly planted in God's Word, has been sorely neglected by the church and has been hijacked by those who are peddling a false gospel for gain. And since faith is being neglected it may explain why the church has lost a lot of her power. Faith is a vital force necessary to anyone who calls himself a Christian, since everything we do is based on our faith in Jesus Christ. The devil has cleverly flooded the Church with a bossy, obnoxious look alike faith, that is obsessed with obtaining and accumulating, things. And because of our aversion to it, it's caused the church to be put off by anything carrying a faith label. If you even mention faith with some people, they will immediately tune you out and in their mind, judge you as a loon. So consequently what we have done, is to ignore the importance of faith altogether and we have instead focused our attention on other less important, sometimes trivial things. Things that don't really matter in the long run. Unimportant temporary things that we can see and can control on our own that we don't really need to bother God about, and that have no eternal value.

After we die, what does it really matter that the church kitchen was remodeled and enlarged, if it was never used much or needed, or that the the church pews were upgraded to be more comfortable or that the sanctuary was re-carpeted to something more modern and inviting? Especially when there were people in other countries or even in our own, that could have used our help, that were desperate for the word of God, for missionaries and Bibles and would have been benefited by the wasted money? Clever devil, isn't he? He is keeping us focused on temporary things, that don't really matter. Busy busy busy, never accomplishing anything for the Kingdom. We must strive to live in a way that keeps our eyes focused on eternity with every decision we make, no matter how small.(Preaching to myself here)

Today, the church has been saturated with teachings about something that  seems similar to the true faith but on closer inspection we find that it's spirit comes from a very different source. However, without spiritual discernment, no one would really be able to tell the difference. That's why many unsaved people have been turned off by Christianity.
This false faith that's going around, (and it's been around a long time now, think Jim and Tammy Baker) is being motivated by covetousness and greed. It was practiced in former times by those hypocritical Pharisees of old, who also strayed far away from the word of God and replaced it with their own form of religion, founded upon the traditions of men.

The word of God needs to be mixed with our faith to be at it's most powerful expression. In order for God's word to be effective, it must be believed. However, we can make the word of God of no effect if we preach our own ideas instead of His word.

A very common fault found through out the ages is the idea that we can mix in our own ideas with Gods word and combine them together and make something that is more palatable for people to understand and accept. We should always keep God's word pure, and not add our own ideas to it. When we start adding in, we are heading for trouble. Listen to what Jesus said to the Pharisees who tried to get away with that very thing.

(Mark 7:6)
6 He (Jesus)answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me,
teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

People who haven't wholeheartedly embraced the truth find themselves greedily drawn to this "things gathering type of faith", and unwittingly reveal a heart that has close ties to this world. If any man truly loved the Father they would never be friends with this impostor, posing as the true faith. This impostor that is in fact, enticing the hearts of the simple away from obedience to the commandments of Jesus Christ.

(2 Peter 2:2)
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not

This modern faith that focuses wholly on self, not God, is very popular and shows up everywhere these days - in bookstores, TV, radio etc, and has been all nicely dressed up and is packaged in bright, attention getting, scarlet red. The red packaging seeks to imitate the blood of Christ, and tries to pass itself off as pure, but upon closer inspection we find that it is dressed in a harlot's attire and is enticing its victims through deceit. The deceitfulness of riches to be exact.

The devil is very clever and well skilled in casting his wiles before the sons of men. It's very easy to be deceived by this imitator if we are not at our posts watching for deception, the way that Jesus told us to, staying near to Him in our prayer closets.

One thing you can be sure of, is that if we have been captured and led astray by this false faith, we will bear no fruit for the Kingdom of God. I was caught up into it in my early christian life as a baby christian, and looking back now I see that they were wasted years and that I bore no fruit for the Kingdom of God. Everything I learned, I had to unlearn, which wasted more of my time. If you think about it, time is really all we have. I am so grateful to God, that He led me out of that mess. Some people never get out of that mindset and never have their eyes fully opened to the true faith and never really come to understand exactly what this life is all about. It's about bearing fruit for the Kingdom, which brings much glory to God. Our top priority as children of the most High God is to bear fruit and bring Him glory in whatever we say or do.

(John 15:8)
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples

(John 15:16)
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

(Gal 5:22)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance..

We all know that the love of money is the root of all evil and this imitation faith focuses on what we can get from God rather than what we can give to Him. It is impossible to serve God and money. Though many have tried and failed, it just can't be done.  It is written plainly in His word, but apparently many pastors/evangelists haven't read those scriptures.

(1 Timothy 6:9)
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness

(James 4:1)
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Jesus knew the difference between true faith and greed and in His zeal for the Father, He over threw the money changers and said make not my Father's house a house of merchandise! I wonder what He would think of this false faith message that they are peddling today using His name for private gain  and in effect, capitalising on the general greed of people. Instead of teaching denial they teach covetousness, using "faith" as a covering, to condone their behavior.

(John 2:14)
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

 (Luke 16:13)
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

As born again believers who are called by His name, the Kingdom of God should have first priority in our lives. Its a Kingdom we can't see with our natural eyes, but we have access to it through His Spirit, using the eyes of faith. There is where our attention should be. We have to walk as Jesus walked and live as He lived, with our eyes fully focused on the Father, whom we can't see without eyes of faith. Many Christians are living fully in the present, with no thought towards God's Kingdom at all but only seeking how to make their lives here on this earth, more pleasant and enjoyable for themselves and for their families. This seems right to them but there is no faith needed for that narrow minded goal. After this life is over, they will find out how little they actually laid up for eternity. They will be sorely disappointed with what they find there when they see the treasures that others have stored up and they realise that they had the same opportunity, the same hours in a day, but they wasted their time on things that perish. Things that pertain only to this life. The sooner one wakes up to this reality the better. I wish I had known these things early in my christian life. It has taken me many years to understand what this life is all about and I'm hoping to open other peoples eyes to these truths.

We should try to expand our thinking to see the world and ourselves as God sees everything. That's why He gave us His Holy Spirit, to enable us to do just that. We have to live with our eyes focused on eternity and build today for our life that will be lived in Heaven.

Don't waste precious time trying to be rich. It's not good for anybody to be too rich. We think it's a good thing, we want it to be a good thing, but the cares and lusts of this world seem to all go together with riches. Also Jesus said that the rich man was the hardest type of person to be saved. He never said that about anyone else, even the worst sinners, but only the rich man.
If we know that riches work against the soul, why would anybody want to be rich, unless they don't really believe what Jesus said?

(Mathew 13:22)
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

(Luke 18:23)
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. 28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

So how pure and undefiled is our own heart? And how strong is our faith? Is it as strong as when we first believed? A good way to measure that is to see if we are still doing things with the same enthusiasm we had in the beginning of our Christian walk, when we were first saved.
Its very important to be on fire for God, and not lukewarm. If you are lukewarm, pray that God would wake you up and open your eyes before it's too late. The lukewarm Christian is in danger of being rejected by the Son of God.

So to put it all together, we see that it's good for us to check up on ourselves to see how we are doing, from time to time. Check our heart to see if it has become defiled with the love of this world and or if we have gotten too comfortable in it.  The impostor faith encourages a great attachment to this world and all it has to offer. It elevates worldly success ignoring the fact that God measures success very differently than the world does. But one would never know that while listening to many preachers, preaching behind famous pulpits, in today's popular churches.

Church should be all about saving the lost from their sins so they won't have to go to Hell. That's the bottom line, and after that comes walking in obedience to the Gospel. We have made everything either too easy or too complicated. In many cases the true gospel is becoming buried in feel good psychology.

Do we find that we are lusting after a life that expresses itself in the accumulation of things, like the children of this world do? What is your heart telling you? We should tune in frequently, and listen closely to what our heart is telling us.

Today I find that what is important to me is very different from what I thought was important, let's say, five years ago. As I become more accustomed to the ways of the Lord, my desires are changing. My tastes are changing. What I used to love I now hate and what I hated then, now I can truly say, I love.
The purity of a holy God draws me. I want to be like Him. I want to be holy, without spot or blemish. I desire to keep my garments undefiled and unspotted from this world.

There are special privileges for those who love Him and who hunger and thirst after righteousness. For those who love Him with more than lip service. Their faith can be seen, in what they do and how they choose to live their lives. How they spend their time and what brings them pleasure.
It takes time to develop this relationship with a God we can't see. Yet we waste precious time every day seeking things and accumulating things that don't matter.

There is a day coming when God will reward us for all of our efforts. He doesn't have to, He chooses to because He's a good God and loves us so much. In His own words....

(Mal 3:14)
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

God Bless Everybody,
Gerie
